death during searing mission. - Guild Wars Forums

If you die during the pvp portion of this mission...does it count as a character death? I'm worried because i want to attempt the title with a mesmer and wonder if it's worth spending a bunch of time in presear and milk it for all it's worth, only to do this mission and get killed and lose the eligibility for the title.

Yes, any deaths not caused on porpuse by the game ( vizunah square mission for example) or by a npc needed in a mission or by in game events, mad king, grenthies etc count towards the /deaths total, so stay there get some lvls and get out when you feel comfortable.

You could always come out as soon as possible and hope you dont die and even if you do , you woudnt have wasted too much time, btw rememer that the part were you have to fight another team before going tru the searing is basicly pvp and does also count towards /deaths

If you mean the PvP portion when you go post-searing, that does count as a death - don't do it...

Here's whatr I did to avoid a death there - I entered the Acadamy, and before the timer expired, I logged out. when I logged back in, I was past the battle and at the point where you start the quest to kill that charr boss.
